How to connect serial port interface from WCH-LinkE-r0-1v3 flash/debug probe to CH32V003F4P6-R0-1v1 microcontroller board?

Hi, I'm from Belgium.

I have a?WCH-LinkE-r0-1v3 probe flash/debug probe and a?CH32V003F4P6-R0-1v1?microcontroller board. The?WCH-LinkE-r0-1v3?probe has a serial port interface (TX and RX pins) for easy debugging. However, I don't find any information on how to connect these pins to my microcontroller board. The current connections are like this:

The connections shown in this figure are sufficient to flash firmware to the target microcontroller and even launch a debug session. However, how should I connect the TX and RX pins to setup a serial port interface?

Hello, if you only need to display printing debugging information, just connect the Tx pin. Use a DuPont cable to connect the Tx pin (PD5) of the demo board's serial port to the RX pin of WCH-LinkE

Thank you @TECH62

What should I do on the software side? I mean, what software do you recommend to install on the computer to read the printf outputs, and what settings should I apply in the software (such as baudrate etc)?

Thank you very much.

Hello, the following link is for downloading the serial port debugging tool. This software can be installed on the computer side. For the configuration of the serial port, please refer to the following figure. The baudrate can be set according to the program configuration, usually defaulting to 115200

Thank you very much @TECH62

It works now!

I appreciate your quick help very much.

Please have a look at my other question, if you have time:
